[It's tempting to play coy eve now. To ask about his intentions as though this isn't exactly what he had in mind for the night as well. It's hard to break old habits and he's sure Daihannya wouldn't even mind if he didn't.
But Mikazuki looks at him now. He reaches out to brush back the long bangs that always hang to the right side of his face. And the only simple thought that fills is head is that it's like a mirror to his own. It's pathetic really.
His smile turns inward, furtive. But it doesn't stop him from voicing his own request.]
[Daihannya watches him, notes how the smile changes. Then comes the question. Immediately he knows what he wants his answer to be. Knows what his answer is. However, there's a part of him that just desires to play coy and yet there's another part of him that wonders if he should.
In the end, he knows what his answer is, he knows how it will be given.
He smiles.]
I'll steal you away for as long as you will allow.
[Because he's not about to stop Mikazuki from wandering. It's too much in his nature to do so. And he is too fond of that nature to try to control it.]
And you are welcome to steal me away as well, Mikazuki.
[He could say how Daihannya already has, how he's already opened his chest and taken hold of his heart as easily as if he had taken his own blade to Mikazuki's human body. He could say how he's done the same, from the first tentative steps he's crept in little by little, only to find the doors unlocked, open wide, nothing to stop him slipping right in and making himself at home. And not once did he ever think it might be a trap.
Instead he steals a long kiss without stopping to wonder if it's really stealing when he knows the other will give it freely. Without asking, without warning. That's just the kind of synchrony they've found with one another.
That's how he knows Daihannya will understand his answer. He doesn't need to say a word. Neither does he want to part from him now.]
[The kiss can't possibly be stolen when he's given it so freely. This is really the only answer he needs because it says everything he needs to know. Both of them feel the same way about this.
Strange. He never expected his promise to lead them on this path and yet here they are. But he honestly wouldn't change it for anything in the entire universe.
Daihannya is truly staying here tonight. That is for certain.]
